Four Bangladesh cricketers will get another opportunity to show their mettle in T20 cricket as Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mustafizur Rahman and Mahmudullah Riyad were bought by Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises through the competition’s Player Draft, which took place on Sunday.
World’s leading All-rounder Shakib will be playing in PSL super league for Peshwar Zalmi alongside Tamim Iqbal of Bangladesh, who will be making his debut for Peshawar Zalmi.
It will be an acid test for pace sensation and IPL experienced Mustafizur Rahman who is signed by Lahore Qalanders. Meanwhile, Quetta Gladiators drafted Mahmudullah. The all-rounder retained his position in the squad, which has been built around Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed.
The PSL is set to begin in February next year. The previous edition saw a main draft held before teams were allowed to transfer players, followed by a mini-draft close to the tournament’s final in Lahore.
