Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Kutupalong Refugee Camp of Ukhia upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday to meet Rohingya Muslims who fled persecution in Myanmar’s Rakhine state.
The PM’s press wing confirmed the matter to the journalists on Sunday.
Earlier on Thursday Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan visited refugee camps of Rohingya Muslims in southeastern Bangladesh.
Nearly 300,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled Myanmar’s Rakhine state into Bangladesh in the 15 days since new violence erupted and the United Nations is braced for a further surge.
New violence started on August 25 after Rohingya fighters attacked police posts in Rakhine, triggering a security forces crackdown.
