The flood situation of Natore district is yet to be improved although the water of the Atrai River has started to recede since Tuesday night, UNB reports.
The water of the river was flowing 98 centimetres over the danger mark on Wednesday morning, said executive engineer Shudash Kumar Sarkar of Natore Water Development Board.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, several hundred houses and other establishments of Natore municipality were inundated.
Residents of those areas moved towards the shelter centres in the area.
However, no fresh village in Naldanga upazila was marooned as the water level of Barnoi River has remained static.
Non-government organisations alongside the state-run ones have been distributing relief materials among the flood-affected people of the district.
