The Jagannath University (JnU) has decided to terminate a teacher for sexual harassment charge, a press release said Sunday.
The terminated teacher is Mir Mosharraf Hossain, also known as Rajib Mir, associate professor of Mass Communication and Journalism Department of the university.
The university authorities took the decision of its teacher’s termination at the 74th Syndicate Meeting of the university on the basis of the recommendation of the university’s anti-sexual harassment cell.
Earlier on April 28, 2016, JnU teacher Mir Mosharraf Hossain was suspended for sexually harassing female students as eight female students of the department lodged separate complaints against him to the university authorities.
University authorities suspended Rajib Mir temporarily in its 71st syndicate meeting.
Mir Mosharraf Hossain (Rajib Mir) had denied of sexual allegations brought against him then.
